PAY for the COLD WATER!

Congratulations! Soon we are going to pay for the cold water, i guess. Since last month, some of us are already paying for it. Ask MSA residents. I guess administration has started the experiment called "Would they notice?". Apparently we did not.

Anyway, get ready to pay more soon.

While I don't use an extravagant amount of water, it still would have been nice for someone to tell us about it or something.

I'm glad this will be my last semester.

yah, I don't use alot neither, and they should have told us...but still, no big deal. I have to pay for water in other places too.

I think water meters are common practice in most developped countries now. Water is Earth's most precious resource, without it all life would cease to exist... so if we're going to charge for electricity it makes sense to also charge for water.

As mentioned by others though, Administration needs to run this by students alot earlier, in advance of changes, so that they can budget appropriately. The hastiness/sneaky nature of these changes also feels alot less like IUJ having a conscious and trying to become a green school, and more of an opportunistic attempt to churn out more "green" from its student body.

I will try my best to bring this up in the meeting with the president this term.

Honestly, I can't believe this school! They'll find just about any way to get the student's to pay more money...for medicore services. If this place were a business it would FAIL HORRIBLY! CHEAP BASTARDS!!!!

how is providing cold water mediocre service?

IUJ is run as a business. Many schools in Japan, not just IUJ, are facing tough economic times. Plenty of articles about the situation can be found online.

Are you getting scholarship? Many students are. Ask them if they think this is such a bad deal.
